THE
PASSION

The Thornden Hall

Chandlers Ford.

The Passion is an exciting musical collaboration of
three of the most popular contemporary performers -
Sara Colman, Jacqueline Dankworth and Liane Carroll.
The Passion fuses three dynamic songwriting and arranging
styles with three powerful and expressive voices not
to mention the unique personalities of these three talented
young women.
The music of The Passion has no boundaries other than
the instrumentation - three voices and a piano.
Sweet harmonies, interspersed with expressive dissonance,
colour the eloquent lyrics of the original material
whilst musicality shapes the form of the arrangements,
be they jazz standards or popular songs. In performance
the Passion can be fun, flamboyant and unpredictable
as well as incredibly moving, warm and spine-tinglingly
beautiful.
As well as having busy solo careers with more than
a handful of albums between them, The Passion have recorded
and produced their debut album “One Good Reason”
and have to their credit, live performances at the Royal
Festival Hall, BBC Radio 4, countless music and Jazz
festivals as well as many of the major music venues
in London.
